An early attempt at a multi-colored lithograph.

This piece marks some experimentation in lithography. It was my first multi-stone lithograph, and combined both drawn (rose) and photographic elements (painted hands and arms). The idea was originally inspired by Salvador Dali’s piece, The Meditating Rose, which features a rose suspended in air over a simple landscape.

This portfolio features two versions of the image – the only difference is the gradient background color changes.
