An early etching exploring some of the possibilities of aquatint and photo-etching.

This self-portrait was created during college, and it was right around the time I discovered and fell in love with print-making. I initially swore off art as a viable means to sustain a future, and was pretty well into a computer science degree, when I decided to take an elective art/print course…Needless to say, I fell in love with the class and all of the joys of art making that I had originally pushed aside for a more economic/financial pursuit. So this piece is a reminder of that self-examining/introspective decision to switch gears, and dedicate myself to art and art-making.
