Commissioned in 2014, this illustration was to be used for the bottom of the client’s bridal shoes.

The figures are drawn in pen, and the client wished for the piece to be based around the style of Santa Muerte imagery. The quote found within the banner is Latin for “In Death Love Survives.” Surprisingly, after a full day of wedding festivities and partying, the base of the shoes held up pretty well for being well used. It was a unique challenge, as it is very rare that I draw on anything that isn’t a flat surface.
