A print designed to pay homage to the great Dutch painter, Piet Mondrian.

This piece came about during my day job as an illustrator for a T-shirt apparel company. I was designing a Maltese cross for a fire department, and noticed the striking similarities between the hazmat logo and Mondrian’s later work. It was then that I came to appreciate the symbol’s simple use of line, black, white and primary colors.
