This work was created as a going-away gift for a childhood friend.
The scene features a familiar and personal dock, one that I had many memories on or around. It also pulls in reference from the movie Jaws, a favorite movie growing up. Unlike the title of the work, the actual river featured here is the Monongahela. The work is done entirely in oils on a cotton canvas.
