An early work that marks the beginning of my fascination with color and the grid.

This work showcases a 5-6 grid color sequence that becomes a contributing role to some of my more recent works. I have since adopted silkscreen to replicate these squares as it is much more efficient and easier to produce and control. This piece was hand-painted and was extremely tedious and monotonous….another theme apparent in my a lot of work. It seems that I was a glutton for punishment early on in my painting career.
